Course Description
Leadership 201 is a course for executives, managers, emerging leaders, and even followers, providing a strong complement to traditional leadership trainings. Learners go on a journey of first elevating their self-awareness and effectiveness, and then building upon that in strengthening their interpersonal skills, management-specific skills, and ultimately their visionary and inspirational leadership skills. It differs from “trainings” in that there is a steady stream of concepts and ideas, blended together with class exercises, discussions, and reflective exercises that participants can apply to their respective situations. Participants will walk away from the class:
- Feeling like they understand much better why people do the things they do, and how leaders can harness this.
- Knowing all the most salient points from the top leadership books. You will feel like you have read them all.
- Ready to practice many more academic ideas not typically included in “trainings.” (E.g., transformational leadership theories, EQ applications, decision-making skills.)
